On January 13, 2012 the combined Burmese forces that marching ahead from Lawt Awng towards Ban Dang of about 100 armed forces from LIB-141, LIR-382 was engaged a fierce battle against KIA battalion (5) at Mu Du Prang under KIA brigade (2) control area local time at 2:00pm. It was reportedly known that 2 Burmese soldiers were killed and 3 got injured. Death and casualties from KIA side is still not known under due correspondence.
Next day (on January 14) early in the morning at 6:00am combined Burmese troops from LIB-14, LIR-382, 384 of about 60 armed forces were targeted with sniper by KIA soldiers from Battalion (5) which killed 1Burmese army and 1 got injured.
The same day at about 1:00pm the Burmese troops from (88) company that stationed closely nearby KIA brigade (3) launches an aggressive attack by frequently shelling heavy weapons of 120mm towards KIA troops that defense at Yin Hpan pass. A helicopter was also detected destined towards Loi Ying that flew over from Manmaw and take off returning after landing at Loi Ying.
The Burmese troops from LIR- 142 that arrived at Daw Hpum Yang also shelling heavy weapons of 120mm at another places towards Hka La steep and Ting Yang the area under KIA Brigade (5) administrative zone. According to the sources from KIA frontline base.
