Two minors—a five years old and a seven years old—were killed by a Burmese troop believed to be from Light Infantry Division (L.I.D) 76 on May 5, 2012, according to their parents. The victims were from Ta Li village situated on the way to Bhamo in eastern Kachin State.

A fighting took place yesterday near Uga Shan village between Kachin resistance army's brigade No. 251 and invading Burmese troops from Light Infantry Division(L.I.D) 386 and 105, according to KIA sources.  The battle was reportedly sparked by the Burmese troops' crossing into KIA areas. Casualties of the battle are not known.
